It’s funny sometimes how you know a place exists, but forget how much fun it was until you experience it again.
Yesterday I rediscovered Port Dalhousie, and loved everything about it – from the walk along the pier, to the activity on the beach, to the patios and of course the Lakside Park Carousel. I can’t believe they only charge 5 cents to ride the Carousel. Can you name anything today that costs 5 cents? I think they even charge 5 cents for penny candy today.
We ended up having a late lunch at the Kilt and Clover, where we had a front row view of all the action (and there was a lot) and enjoyed a club house wrap and some gorgeous mussels in a creamy white wine garlic sauce – delicious. There was lots of eye candy in Port Dalhousie – loads of people walking, riding their bikes, playing volleyball on the beach, picnicking, swimming, driving their motorcycles and convertibles – it was a gorgeous day to celebrate the sunshine.
The next weekend there is sunshine, I highly recommend checking out Port Dalhousie. There is lots to do for the whole family.

It’s great to see that they haven’t raised the price after all these years!
